of steam and balls
For nic's farewell we went to this steamboat place near my place which is reputably quite good..It's been a long time since I've eaten steamboat... The only previous time was in Melbourne, where the definition of steamboat is boiling soup in a rice cooker with lots of seafood you can find in Vic market. Then usually you'll get an apartment filled with water vapor and prawn smell. But I digress.
So 11 of us went to this shop, once again proudly wearing our Motorola batik/Hawaiian shirt. The food was not bad, and the company terrific...
It's one of those steamboats you can grill stuff at the sides..can anyone find a pig head in the soup?
After the meal, a few of us went for snooker. If you don't already know, I was a snooker addict back in Form 5 and college days. As a friend would put it, I single handedly made the snooker centres survive the economy crisis. I don't think that's true though..hahaha...
I still remember our weekly round of pool before Mr Lee's Physics tuition. That time my kakis was Ivan, Chok, Indera.. Then after form 5 Robin got sucked into the pool of madness, and became a regular snooker centre crawler..hahah.. In college, roommate fadhil was a constant challenger.. I still remember him always challenging me for a round of snooker at ungodly hours, and how I would kiasu-ing-ly accept the challenge, and beat the crap out of his sorry ass.. LOL.. But anyways, I think our scores were even when we left college.. too baddd.. Well, Melbourne did my snooker passion no good, and I have since retired from being a professional mediocre-but-act-professional snooker player.
That was a heck of a background.. hhehehe.. anyways I think I've lost my touch.. can't even pocket simple balls, and the only consolation is that I beat the crap out of jc and pm. hehehe
whoa!! I still need to work tomorrow! must sleep!! zzz...

I still prefer having steamboat in Melbourne's cold weather.. There, you don't even sweat. But I was sweating like a pig (not that pigs sweat, but you get the point.. ) while cooking all the nice food.
