1st week of the year
This week has been rather relaxing at work because everyone is recovering from the 4 day weekend. So Wednesday is like, recovery day. Thursday only get back to serious work. Friday will be like productivity management day, which is another way of saying that everybody is slacking or finding opportunity to slack. Hahaha..

Anyways, here’s my typical day at work:

8am- Reach my cubicle, turn on my huge desktop computer. Which has a big ass CRT monitor. it doesn’t help that my colleagues have a laptop PLUS an LCD monitor which they use as a desktop extension.

9am- My colleagues start coming in. The rest of the trainees (around 8-10 of us) go down to cafeteria to have breakfast. Usually we sit there for around half an hour talking about ways to improve productivity and to enhance our products’ market appeal. haha. That would be what our bosses would love to hear. Unfortunately for them, we only talk crap and make plans for the next outing. Well, in a sense, that’s productive too rite?

9.30am – Start serious work ( or rather pretend to do some serious work). Will get request occasionally to do testing at the lab, which may take the whole morning, depending on the situation.

12 pm – Lunch time! Will eat with the other trainees in the cafeteria usually, but sometimes go out to eat with colleagues in my team. Getting a bit sick of the cafeteria food, but oh well, it’s cheap and convenient.

1pm- After lunch, feel sleepy lor. Hahaha. But still have to do work. Or pretend to do work. Don’t ask me how to pretend. It’s an acquired skill, u know. But work is still work, need to get things done lar of coz.

3pm- Tea time! People must be thinking, you go office to work or to eat ah? Hahaa.. well actually I think I eat more meals when I work than when I study. Output needs input also right?? Cannot be productive when you’re hungry you know..

3.30pm- back to work, but this time will be thinking, how long more to 5.30pm ah?? Kekekeke..

5.30pm- CABUT!!

Last Friday, the trainee bunch of us went to sunshine square for pizza hut. They have a lunch set which goes for rm7.90 which is quite a good deal. Our typical Friday lunch will be an excursion to somewhere new to get a break from the café food we usually have. Making full use of the 2 hr lunch break of coz. No wonder Friday is the least productive day of the week.

I had to carpool home with my supervisor on Friday nite because my car pool buddy was on leave. We went for dinner at supertanker, where she introduced the famous duck rice there which was quite good. I had a second round of belacan fried rice too. Getting to like belacan fried rice quite a lot, hahaha.. ok I better get fat before the end of my training or else I dunno wat to say la..

Saturday, took bus to gurney plaza with my housemate, where we met the other trainees who were just finishing their red box session. After that we went for lunch at the food court. Then half of the group left leaving half of us there. We window shop and walk around aimlessly until about 6, then decided to catch a movie. Oh yeah, we also saw nicol david walking around probably shopping too. Hahaha.. ok then we ended up watching The Guardian. The story line is too predictable, the only consolation there is kate beckinsale. After movie, we went for supper/dinner before gb drive us home. It was funny when he was dropping cat off, her mango from the tree fell onto the roof of his car while he was waiting for her to get into the house, leaving a small dent on the roof. What luck!

Well, that’s half my weekend gone.. enjoyed the day at gurney a lot though. Now I’ve got to figure out a way to get these annoying insects out of my room. arghhh
