of melbourne
It's now blogging time again..Work's been interesting as we travel all over Melbourne's train network, and even got a mention on the radio the other day:) The most interesting would have to be the near miss we had with a train and a nearly rolled four wheel drive, all in the same day in Belgrave. I should be buying insurance. Oh well, at least it kept the week interesting. Went for Laksa King on Friday instead of OCF ( I was super late so didn't bother). Not really as nice as it used to be though. Was gonna go to Manchester Lane on Sunday night but there weren't any performances, imagine that. So we ended up going to Blok M in Prahran, nice Indonesian place with cool food names - Ikan Bakar Jahanam! haha.. Tuesday night was spent fine dining with colleagues at Sloaney Poney in Port Melbourne - very nice French cuisine with a generous portion, unlike other French restaurants. I'm beginning to like the fine dining experience.. but too bad I won't be able to afford it if I were to pay for it myself. Returning to a renovated Dainty Szechuan was very nostalgic. The place looks more classy now, and the food not as burningly hot as before. I'd rather have it hotter actually, but it's still very good. Wah, I think I talk too much about food already. Have to stop now and think of where I'm gonna have dinner tonight. Haha..

A tale of 2 cities 2
haha.. I’m in Melbourne again. Of course, I feel more at home here. My week in Sydney was so boring. I almost cried of boredom. Had to get myself bak chang to ease the pain.

Flew in early on Sunday morning, with plenty of time to check in and walk around the city before church..

If you’re flying Sydney to Melbourne, you have to sit on the left hand side of the plane to get the best view (Sydney Harbour as the plane leaves Sydney and Melbourne skyline approaching Melbourne).

Never mind.. I was too early checking in, so I went to the city for a walk around and snapped some pictures..

It’s WICKED!!

A lonely bench

This old man was out snapping on a chilly Sunday morning too.

The building that glows bright at night.

Autumn leaves gives way to winter. Bring it on!!

The sweet memories of exams. NOT!

The sermon was very interesting. But my afternoon was not. Spent the whole afternoon trying to get on the phone with a colleague. Then dinner was at Nam Loong. Found it so hard to wake up this morning, my bed is super nice.. :) Oh by the way, I'm using my 2dollar/hour internet now. So cannot online too long. Sigh..

a tale of two cities
I'm living a childhood dream of working on a job where I can travel around. I guess it really was fitting that we sang the song "Count Your Blessings" in church yesterday. That song always gets sung at the most appropriate time. Oh wells, I'm back in Sydney but not for long I suspect. I had grown accustomed to my room at Arrow on Swanston. Was quite sad to check out of it on Friday morning. I loved the fact that I could walk to the city from my apartment.

breakfast at Tresherman's

Had steamboat at sitcom house on Saturday night, just perfect for winter. Made my own won ton. Look..

Life is like a wonton.. Hmm.

Nice times. Though some were having exams, they still came to celebrate Dot's birthday. The last time I had steamboat was at the same place too! Feels that I've not been gone at all. haha. Going to church, it felt as if I have been here all along, until Neil passed me the Church Directory. And flicking through it I went, oh, I'm not here anymore. wah ok ok. so emo..
