first week..
The torrents of work are coming early this time around, and I've got to buck up..

Was on the tram the other day.. looking at the myriad faces of people, some forlorn, some seem happy, some are too busy on the phone. And then there was me, looking out the window thinking, would I one day be as rich as the guy standing at the corner, dressed immaculately in a suit.. would I be as successful as that guy calling the shots on his phone, with no time to sit and think.... will I end up growing old, riddled with wrinkles like the old man seated by the stairs, with a look on his face that says "What if..". would I have kids like the proud dad tossing his sons around..

Guess I'll have to start calling the shots.

the end is near
Last day of the 1st semester holiday. It's kind of weird, because it didn't feel like a holiday(and it shouldn't have felt like one), but at the same time it wasn't as stressful as uni periods. I guess the stress would come full force once this roller coaster reaches its peak and starts its descent. I've made many sacrifices in terms of time this holidays, some which I've seen immediate outcomes, some that I hope to see results in the future, and some which I'm not exactly sure I was sane when I did it.. On the other hand I guess I'm sometimes too selfish for my own good. Altogether I must say it's been a refreshing break, although I had hoped it to be more productive in terms of uni work.

crap
Got my first pay slip today. I should be feeling happy. But I feel like crap. I'm wondering if it is something I've done or something I've not. Why do I always put myself through so much pain?

Uni is starting soon. Quite dreading it. I think I'd rather be on the morning rush hour everyday. Well, at least for now. Final semester of uni life. Quite an overwhelming thought..

birthdays
After basketball on Sunday, a group of us went to Grace's place for steamboat. Always a nice thing to have in the cold winter. Also played pS2 which I sucked at..

Haha.. that's not me by the way.

Actually the reason for the steamboat was to celebrate Bing's birthday. So yeah.. we celebrated his birthday with a nice chocolate cake, then played some more pS2 before going home at midnight.

Today was a full on day.. rushed to uni after work then did some project work before heading home to change and rushing off again to the city. Another birthday celebration, this time it's shake's twenty second.

We went to Oriental Spoon, on her unashamed request.

random
Ah... Friday. No more morning rush hours. For 2 days at least. Punched a weekly ticket yesterday, which means I'm obligated now to use the tram everyday for one week. Haha.

Nothing's exploded yet. So it's all good.

the order of things
Quite a long day today... I had dinner at Kaneda, a Japanese restaurant in MidCity Arcade Chinatown with gp,wl,charles,sy. The food was very good, especially after the crappy Korean rice with spicy beef I had for lunch today. SO full of capsicums.. yuck.. anywaaaaay.. after that we watched Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix. Well. I'll be honest. It was torture sitting through the 2 and a half hours. I'd rather watch Transformers for the 2nd time. The only interesting part was the romantic scene between Harry and Cho =) Other than that, this one doesn't compare with the previous 4 installments. So many random scenes and plots that were either unnecessary or plain boring... Anyway..

winter joy
It's been an interesting week.. new things happening for me, and hopefully it's gonna shape more good things to come. On another note, I think there are indeed a lot of alleys and laneways in the city that are interesting which I've never really been aware of, although I've been here for quite some time.

Friday was sth new in ocf, with many ppl from other centers who came to crash our missions week. Stayed back until after midnite to look at pictures from july camp, then went to notturno for supper/dinner. reached home around 2.30am. Was actually planning a trip to Dandenongs which was supposed to be this morning, but in the end had to postpone it because of lack of sleep and idea of how to get there.

Instead, we went to Chapel St. The most hip and happening retail strip in melbourne. hahahhaa.. around 8 of us went.. inc ph who just came back from Nz. Quite a long tram ride there, and by the time we got to our destination, I was starving. We decided to have lunch at TGIF.. haha eh gb and yy, if you're reading this, you are welcome to feel jealous ! hahaha.. Well, the food I had was not bad, it's called Chicken and Shrimp Diablo.. Apparently it's the sauce they put in the pasta that's called Diablo. Don't ask me. Didn't taste very diabloish though

Sorry for the very poor quality pic courtesy of Sony Ericsson W750i. Anyway, lunch was quite fun and long. After that we just walked around for a little while before going back to city to eat again..at shanghai dumpling house. hahaha.. such gluttons we are. But I'm still hungry now.

Hohoho..

on and on and on and on
Attended the ocf annual July Camp over the past weekend. The venue was Catherine's Creek, about 2 hrs from Melbourne. Quite a cool campsite located among the hills, and it was so cold. This camp felt different from the previous 2 camps I've attended though.. maybe I'm not really in the right state of mind or same state of mind.

The camp felt like it went past in a blur, and before long we were heading back to civilisation... Came home, put my bags then went off to Kum Den for dinner with some of the campers, about 30 of us. Didn't really had enough food to go by, but oh well.

Today was quite a full day, with a new job commitment and trying to regain our momentum in the final year project. Went to watch Transformers at night. I must say, it was AWESOME. OK maybe the storyline was predictable and there was a subconscious branding overkill, but I was not in it for the story anyway. The megatrons and decepticons was way beyond cool. The transforming sounds they make brings back memories of childhood. hahahhaa.. ok so after the movie we went to king of kings for supper, then walked home at 2am.

need.to.sleep.
