day in, day out, work seems to get a bit routine (probably because I have been slacking :p). Days seem to be dancing past in a fleeting blaze of lights.. and counting the days to my last day at work is getting a bit scary. This week was cat's (a fellow trainee) final week with us, because she wants to enjoy one month of holiday before getting back to school. It makes me think, how accustomed I have become of the daily spam we send ourselves, breakfast, lunch and tea time we spend with mindless chatter, and how closely we have bonded as a group of trainees.
Future engineersDefinitely a different experience from my last training, where there was no computer, working in a hot humid workshop and not really much fellow trainees.
RND team - Relaxation and Development...OK, so how was my week? Thursday, after work we went straight to BJ to 'buy shoe'. hahaha.. end up no one bought anything and we proceeded to Queensbay Mall. We planned to have Johnny's steamboat but observation of the menu revealed that it wasn't such a wise choice--- wat the fish.. four small prawns for a four person set??!? If they can't even put up a decent and attractive picture in the menu, how do they expect to provide better food for real customers?
We ended up going to Kenny Rogers to celebrate, or rather, farewell cat. everyone ordered the quarter chicken meal and it was a pretty decent one.. After that we just walked around the mall, attracting a lot of attention. Why? Because we had on our pretty Hawaiian or batik or watever-you-want-to-call-it uniform. It sure is a pretty funny sight when 10+ people are walking around aimlessly with the most astoundingly eye-catching uniform I've ever seen. A shopkeeper even had the cheek to ask us whether we are from a restaurant *sweat*
Motorola team in actionFriday lunch, we followed cat's colleagues to the airport to have lunch at Nandos. Yes. The airport. hahahaha.. wat to do.. our office is near the airport, so near that you could see planes taking off every few minutes. I think when it comes to food these few days, I've really dug a hole in my pockets..
Friday night, went to Q-Mall again.. this time with housemate's colleagues. Just had dinner there, walk around and had a drink at coffee bean..
And I'm going off to KL in a few hours time. Probably my last trip to KL this holidays. Enjoy your weekends people..
