Summer is here
Someone asked me to write an emo post. Well, I'm having such a packed schedule it's hard to describe what I'm feeling, or whether I'm having the time to reflect on what is transpired. Indeed, the past week or so was filled with so much fun but also having a sense of foreboding, that it is all gonna be the final time I'll see some people. And knowing me, I'm lousy at saying goodbyes, because I just don't know what is the right thing to say when you're not gonna see someone anymore. Oh well, I wonder if perhaps a simple "take care" will do because I really do mean it.

Thanksgiving Night was the final ocf of the year. Returnees presented 2 songs, which I was part of. 2 simple songs speaking of God's love and a commandment to love each other. Isn't that what it's all about. Haha. The sketch presented was hmmm.. very funny. Year after year I've not missed a thanksgiving because of my perpetually late exams, and this year it's my turn to get farewelled, how sad. The night ended quite early, and we went around taking pictures and saying farewells, and it was supper at notturno afterwards..

people i'll miss so dear...

In between thanksgiving night, there were chocolate buddhas and melbourne laneways that kept me occupied :)

The church also farewelled the returnees on Sunday, and then we had lunch at Noodle Kingdom again, not very nice lah the food this time. After that, played basketball before going to Chun Po in Camberwell for dinner organised by Charles. 14 of us in a very big table, and the food was excellent.Had to order 2 rounds though, because we underestimated the power of hungry stomachs.

how thoughtful..

Back to the grind on Monday, having to wake up early every weekday is such a boo boo. My only other activity besides work on the weekday was dinner with ph on Thu nite on Lygon. Friday night had dinner at rumelli's on Sydney Rd. Haha, this place is quite different because there was entertainment in the form of belly dancers! haha..

Today's the first day of summer, and what better place to go than St Kilda beach? So we did exactly that today, having lunch at the galleon, a retro-ish cafe at st Kilda. The fan, fridge, bar, floor etc were all reminiscent of the old kopi tiams back home. Except that the food was Western instead of kolo mee, laksa or nasi lemak back home. It was also the final time we hung out together, because wm and ph leaving after convention already. Sat there for about 3 hours, then we went to 7 Apples for gelati before proceeding to the beach...

I was the one taking the picture..heheh. It's gonna be another hectic week ahead.. Going for ocf convention and some travelling!
