The past week has been a flurry of activities so much so that the things I've planned to do has not been done yet i.e. planning for family trip during graduation , health checkup, watch the countless movies I've pirated etc.

Night after the final exam, malaysian(predominantly) coursemates and myself had a celebratory dinner at red wok in south yarra. The food was good but we didn't order enough I think. It's strange that some of us didn't know each others' names (me included) until this very day..4 years of study and only introduce ourselves now. I guess that's the impersonal nature of uni life. It takes one's special effort to go and talk to people and that's some skill I've not really picked up in my years in uni, sadly. After the dinner we went charlston in chinatown to play pool. Dodgy place, I must say.

The next day I went to just walk around the city, up to the giant ferries wheel and back.. what a great feeling to not have to worry about exams or assignments or projects. Watched a movie at night - Across the Universe, with Ocfers. I don't know what to make of it. It's such a long time since I've last watched a movie with the bunch of ocfers. Movie itself was not very exciting, I even napped for a little while, but on hindsight it was quite a sweet and beautiful movie. After the movie we ate dinner at Dessert House in chinatown. Went back after that to rest in preparation for the next day's road trip.

Wednesday was the road trip to Mornington Peninsula's strawberry farm and rose maze garden. We set out early in the morning, went to pg's house first in the morning, and then we set out in Lydia's car and one rented car. Had a breakfast stop at McD and then off we headed to the strawberry farm. Hmm .. it seems everytime I drive there'll be some drama involved. After Wilson's Prom, this time's drama was on a more hillarious note I suppose. To follow the wrong car with a different colour altogether.. is still incomprehensible to me. Haha.. Oh well no matter how many times charles tells the story it's still funny and I've got to live with it then. Several wrong turnings and an hour and a half later, we reached the strawberry farm. This is the first time I've been in one.

It was quite fun although I wouldn't do it for a long time. They should invent special machines to pick strawberries coz it's such a menial task.

After the farm, we drove a bit further to the Aschcombe Maze. Apparently it's an old garden that's supposedly beautifully manicured and kept.. The two mazes were quite fun, although we felt a bit cheated on the 2nd one. Then there was the 7 tier waterfall which turn out to be this..

And we paid $15 to see this. The lavender maze was pretty allright though..

We headed for home after that, stopping by a familiar place to snap some pictures..

This is the place we stopped by during the fishing trip last year. Seems like just yesterday that we came by here. Makes me think, how fast indeed these 4 years have gone by..Did I really savour it passing by, or was I just immersed in the things I do and suddenly now realize that I've actually made the cut for a degree (or almost). Well, I do feel that the last 2 years I have been thinking a lot about these things, and I can't really remember the first 2 years of my uni life. And looking back I see God's abundant grace increasing each step of the way. I'm truly amazed.

I digress. After the stopover we headed to the city where we popped by Toorak Rd's Pacific House for dinner. I've heard a lot about the roast duck there, and it didn't disappoint when it came. Maybe we were excessively famished, but the food was really very nice. Haha.. So that was our final road trip this year. Sad because I know that days of road tripping are gonna be numbered from now onwards..

On Thursday, I had dinner at Lazzat. Hmm. Friday was start of work .. Indeed the end of the 3 day holiday after the exam.. Quite a slow day at work though. Straight to OCF after work, then we wanted to visit Shera who's just had appendicitis but she wasn't feeling too good. Supper we went to Noodle Kingdom, which served an array of Szechuan style food. The portions were huge too. Went home at around 2am.

On Saturday, went for a lunch to celebrate jw's bday, at spiga bar. Hmm. the food wasn't anything to shout about I think, considering the price. But it's a nice cosy place in melbourne central amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Had some deep discussions which I wasnt' too involved in but oh well. Straight after that Ruth and I went to pg's place for steamboat, before her flight at midnite tonite. Steamboat in the heat of impending summer.. The company was indeed great, and yeah... starting to feel emo again knowing that it's not something we'll do again in the near future.

After the steamboat, we sent Yanyan to the airport. First time i drove to the airport. Quite sad to see you leave pg! Hopefully I'll see you again someday somehow. Eat more nasi lemakz for me in Malaysia and have fun in Paris.

Sunday was church lunch as usual, and then basketball, which I've not played in ages. The weather was so hot today, which makes you tire easily. But it was really good to play after a break of so long. The flies were really annoying though. After basketball we went for dinner at sea salt. Then helped Lyd to move stuff to sitcom house. Stayed there till about 10 before coming back. And so that's a weekend gone in a flash. And I thought I'll get some time off to think a bit and relax before going to work again on Monday. Well that's not gonna happen because I'm writing this now. I shall go to sleep now allright.
