It's been a while since I've updated, as you can see. After 10 days in Kuching, I flew back on good ol' Air Asia to the land down under. 8 hr no frills flight to Gold Coast, then to Melbourne. Settled some administrative stuff and met some very dear people, before taking the flight to Sydney.
I've pretty much settled in now after two weeks. First week was rough, because the first day of work was pretty stressful already. And I slept in a near empty apartment for a week. Went to Ikea last Sunday and bought some furnitures, which cost me about $500. So now I can safely call this place home. Though I dearly miss my college square apartment in Melbourne which is 100 times better.
The routine of work.. I take two trains to work every morning, a 30 minute journey altogether. Transport in Sydney is so freaking expensive. Usually will finish work at 6, then reach home at 6.30 or 7 if I finish later. It's been lonely so far, leaving alone. Guess I'm not used to living alone. Have always had housemates. Really miss the Melbourne lifestyle. Sydney lifestyle is so much more like KL's in a sense. I guess I've got to get used to that. Have not even been to the city yet since I came here.
sigh.. the realities of working life. Got to learn to be more independent now, and to start thinking more maturely at work and in general. The past 2 weeks have made me realize how I lack maturity in so many ways..
pardon this short post cos I'm creeping up on someone's internet! i'll get my own by next week I hope..
Oh, the picture up there. Our yearly reunion and CNY visit. That's the gang at my house. Really glad that it happened this year. By next year, everyone would be working already. Point noted that it was the first year that no gambling occured at Moses' house. Some of us wrote in a book which will serve as a time capsule for next subsequent years. hahaha..that's so emo man.
