A pencil is just a simple thing but today I read about the story of a pencil.. There are 5 qualities of the pencil which we are to hold on to:

1. There is always a guiding hand that guides the pencil. As for us, we see that guiding hand as God's hand leading us through life according to His will, whatever that will may be. We may never know that will but we just have to trust and obey.

2. Sometimes the pencil becomes blunt and needs sharpening to make it good again. We may sometimes face hardships which causes some (or a lot of) pain, however when we persevere through those tough times, we become a better person.

3. Sometimes the pencil uses an eraser to rubs out its mistakes. We must learn to admit our mistakes and to have the conscience to correct them.

4. The pencil's exterior covering is important, but the most important part is the graphite inside. Always pay attention to what's happening inside of you.

5. The pencil always live a mark. Such also is life, where every action no matter how minute, leaves a mark on the people around or yourself. Be conscious of that in every action.
